Maryland community college course loads are higher than those of our peers at many other schools. Especially when we consider labs, condensed classes, and other instructional time that’s not always equitably credited toward our requirements. In addition, service requirements and other duties have crept further and further: taking time and focus away from instruction. We want to make sure all the work faculty do for our students and our schools is accounted for fairly, and we want to be able to balance our workload with our other personal and professional responsibilities.
